1. Booking & Session Fees

A non-refundable session fee is required at the time of booking to secure your session date. This fee covers the time, preparation, and studio costs associated with your session and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Session Fee Packages:

All session fees are strictly non-refundable. If you need to reschedule we will do our very best to accommodate you subject to availability.



All Inclusive Packages:

If you have purchased an all inclusive package and need to cancel your booking the following cancellation policy applies:

Cancellation made more than one month before your first scheduled session — a session fee of $299 will be retained and the remaining balance refunded

Cancellation made less than one month before your first scheduled session — 50% of the total package fee will be retained to cover loss of expenses and only 50% will be returned to you

Cancellation made less than 14 days before your session — no refund will be issued

Rescheduling requests are always handled with care and understanding. Life happens and we will always do our very best to find a new date that works for you.

3. Copyright & Image Ownership

All images created by Manawa Photography remain the exclusive intellectual property and copyright of Manawa Photography at all times. Emma Manawa retains full copyright of every image captured during your session.

By purchasing your images whether through digital download, USB, or physical products, you are purchasing a personal use licence to use your images freely for personal purposes including but not limited to:

Printing and displaying in your home

Sharing on personal social media accounts

Gifting to family and friends

You may not use your images for any commercial purpose, sell them, or supply them to any third party for commercial use without the express written permission of Manawa Photography.

4. Image Usage by Manawa Photography

Manawa Photography reserves the right to use any images created during your session for the purposes of portfolio display, website use, social media, advertising, and competition entry. If you would prefer your images not to be used publicly please advise us in writing prior to your session and we will respect your request completely and confidentially.

5. Image Delivery

Images will be ready for your personal viewing appointment at the studio within 7 days of your session. Digital downloads will be available via your personal profile within 7 days. Manawa Photography takes every care in the delivery and storage of your images however we strongly recommend saving and backing up your digital images upon receipt as we cannot guarantee storage of images beyond 30 days after delivery.

6. On the Day

Manawa Photography will make every effort to ensure your session runs smoothly and beautifully. In the unlikely event that a session needs to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances on our part, you will be offered a full reschedule at no additional cost.

7. Products & Orders

All wall art and album orders are placed following your viewing appointment. As all products are custom made to order, once an order has been placed and confirmed it cannot be cancelled or refunded. All products are 100% pure New Zealand made and subject to standard production timeframes which will be advised at the time of ordering.

8. In-House Finance & Payment Plans

• Manawa Photography offers an in-house, interest free weekly payment plan for clients who wish to pay off their images and products over time
• Your payment plan begins once your session fee or deposit has been paid in full and your booking is confirmed.
• Weekly payments are required and will be processed automatically via your chosen payment method on the agreed day each week
• No images or products will be delivered until your payment plan has been paid in full.
• Once you have commenced your payment plan, payments are non-refundable and the plan cannot be cancelled partway through
• It is the Client's responsibility to ensure funds are available on each scheduled payment date
• A late fee may be applied to any missed or declined payment, and continued missed payments may result in a pause of services until the account is brought up to date
• Manawa Photography reserves the right to determine the length and structure of your payment plan based on your total package value
• All payment plan amounts, durations, and due dates will be clearly outlined and agreed upon in writing prior to commencement
• Once your payment plan is paid in full your images will be released for viewing or digital download that day.

9. Privacy

Manawa Photography is committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information will never be shared with or sold to any third party. All information collected is used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and delivering your photography experience. Please see our full privacy policy below.

10. Limitation of Liability

Manawa Photography will always strive to deliver an exceptional experience and stunning images. However in the unlikely event of equipment failure, unforeseen circumstances, or events beyond our control, our liability is limited to a reshoot or refund of your session fee only.
